~ Military Partner's / Family Members ~
Whether you were raised in a military family, or you married or partnered into one, there are challenges and rewards that come with the territory. Many of these challenges and rewards are different for you then they are for those that are not associated with family and partners of those serving or have served. They aren't better or worse, (although many might argue 'better') just different.
Whether your loved one is preparing for deployment, adjusting to home life after one or more deployments, or you and your family are trying to navigate the multitudinous moves and associated life challenges, the resources that are available to you, and the support systems that are in place for you, there is much to consider. Perhaps the most important point to keep in mind, is that there is never a need to go it alone. Not only are there resources to help, but there are a plethora of organizations that would be more than happy to utilize your own gifts, whether it might be extra time, talents, skills, experience, and/or a desire to connect or give back to others.
Family members and partners of those deployed overseas may worry about being alone, disconnected, worry about financial, legal, medical and/or mental health issues, including special resources for your children or teen all the while suddenly feeling like a 'single parent'. It is important to know that there are myriad free support groups, resources, organizations, and connections available. Please click here to check out some of these free resources available to you.
